*wipes brow and moves along*
Sep. 20th, 2004 11:21 amThe test in music lit/ history was quite difficult.
Apparently I was not the only one dreading the test. Many people were heard scoffing, "So, ya ready to drop a test? ha ha!"
I was very happy with my overall memory regarding the church modes and order of the Mass Ordinary. Hell, I think I even did all right with the listening examples. He asked what the floridity of several pieces was, and I can hear that fairly easily.
The transcribing of the Gregorian chant text was a tad tricky...I am not so certain that I recognized the mode...it seemed, I don't know, muddled somehow. Also, there were new shapes (diamonds instead of squares), and they were difficult to figure out in so far as whether or not the notes would be tied or separated.
Eh, it's all over and done with.
Now, on to Italian to see how I did last week on my test. I know I missed at least one bit...Como si dice en italiano, 'See you soon!'"
The answer: "A presto!"
I forgot it while doing the test, and wrote, "Addio!" just to write something. I figure trying is better than leaving a blank.
Many thanks to all who sent me good ju-ju. It helped bunches!
Hope everyone is having a good day!
