fucknuggets & nuggets o' fun
Aug. 7th, 2004 11:26 amWell, that didn't help my day at all.
Sidewalk-Chalk Festival Info a la the Cleveland Museum of Art.
I prolly can't make it, considering I'll be fully immersed in Ohio U. by that time, and won't likely be able to come back up for it.~8(
Other people should go though. I've loved this for several years, and even if I can't make it, I can at least live vicariously through you all, right?~;)
Maybe I'll just sidewalk-chalk my front walkway.
I wonder how my landlord, Andy, would take that.
Hmmm....
Optimism, anyone?
Actually, I had a notion to call the City of Cleveland and ask for a permit to do it in the newly-renovated Lincoln Park with some people. Would anyone else want to join me in such an adventure, should I actually get a permit to do so? I wouldn't be able to supply you with the chalk (you'd have to get some yourself), but it'd be fun, methinks.
yeah, the creative juices are flowing.
yay for muses
even if they're really just monsters in disguise...
OH! And speaking of art - the Spencer Tunick unveiling is next weekend. I think
wraptboy,
bindrune and I are all going to get super-glitzy-dressed-up and take MOCA by storm! YAY! STORMS!!!!

My bad...
Date: 2004-08-10 05:27 pm (UTC)Sidewalk Chalk-a-Walk...
Date: 2004-08-07 12:24 pm (UTC)...and donate a couple buckets of chalk to help underwrite it, too!
Let me know...I think the Lakewood Council would be very receptive to that sort of thing, especially if it's artistic and doesn't cost them anything.
Re: Sidewalk Chalk-a-Walk...
Date: 2004-08-07 01:58 pm (UTC)That'd be rad of you to help out! I was hoping to do it at Lincoln Park, which is here in Tremont. I am going to call the Tremont Arts councel about it on Monday, see what we need to do to get it rolling. It'd be cool if you would look into Lakewood too though - I don't live there, and I think it'd be better if someone who resides in the city asked.
Re: Sidewalk Chalk-a-Walk...
Date: 2004-08-07 09:29 pm (UTC)Silly me, thinking you're located in Lakewood...
Lincoln Park would be a great place for this! And if they like the idea, we'll still help out mightily with the supplies...
