two and a half hours from now...

I will be at Tri-C west putting the final touches on some scenes before tonight gets rolling.

In case you didn't get the e-mail, and/ or missed the post from before, I am singing in what will be my final Opera and Musical Scenes at Tri-C tonight. I know it's no competition for Decadent shows and film festivals, but it would be nice to see some faces out. I know a few people are coming (thanks for the confirmations, btw~8) so that's cool.

It's going to be a bit odd, like a farewell or something. This didn't occur to me until last night at dress rehearsal...Mel began crying as Brad began singing one of the last songs of the night. I went over to hug her and asked what was up...she said it was the first song she and Brad sang together a few years ago, and the reality of all of us leaving, moving on, just hit her abruptly.

Then, it hit me too.

This is the third spring I have done this show with Tri-C, meaning three years of working with these people, specifically Mel, Brad, Josh and Joshy, Sheri, and Kira.

The rain feels strangely appropriate today. At least it's not snowing...after all, today is the first day of spring.~8)

Hope everyone is doing well. If you do not make it out tonight, have fun wherever you go. I'm off to work out at Bally's for a while.
