Hooray for filesharing!

A friend of mine introduced me to the world of Kazaa last night while I dealt with the insomnia issues.

Today I am lost in a world comprised of Bowery Electric, Goldfrapp & ATB.

Not a bad way to spend a sick day, in my opinion.

gah...time to go talk to a friend, and see how he's recovering from his recent break-up.

This, by the way, is a hard thing for me to do. The couple in question were both fairly good friends of mine, and now I have to remind them to talk nicely about one another to me or not at all. This is why I hate triangular relationships. yup yup yup.

If I know you and your SO, and you ever break up, please do me a favor and leave me out of it. I will not take sides. In fact, more than likely, I'll opt to say to hell with the one who dares to assume I would take a side.

It takes a selfish person to put that strain on their friends. Total tommyrot, if you ask me.

anymore, when I know people who break up... I tell them, before the subject even gets broached, that the only time I'll take a side is when someone asks me to... and I will automatically choose the other side.

still, even with that threat in mind... it's still happenned... and I've cut those people out of my life *shrug*

I don't realy have a problem with being vented to... I just ask that some respect be held for me still being friends with the opposite side.

That's pretty much all I ask for too. And my friend was totally cool about it, so it was all good in the end. I have just lost friendships over it, cut them out, as you said. Their loss though. Definitely.

Kazaa?

GAH!

Kazaa is bad.

Not the filesharing part, but the company behind the software. The install of their program puts some nasty little bits of "malware" on your computer to mess with your networking so they can start redirecting traffic from your computer to make money for them.

Do yourself a favor and immediately uninstall Kazaa, then download the latest version of AdAware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/) and run it immediately. This will clear out spyware, malware and other bad juju programs. After you've cleaned your computer of the bad stuff, go to Google.com and do a search for Kazaa-lite, which is a version of Kazaa with the bad stuff ripped out by community programers.
