spamming the funk outta MySpace re: the protest on December 2nd and UnSilent Film 2.

It's a beautiful day, in that strange sun-peeking-through-super-gray-clouds-making-everything-intense-and-amazing kinda way. I woke up early for breakfast, didn't know Kate was awake, so I went by myself and finished Harry Potter: The Chamber of Secrets, sitting against a cool brick wall just outside of Nelson Commons. The clocktower actually worked, and rang when the world turned 11AM (at least here), and the noise, the tubby gray squirrels, the glistening grass...I held my breath for a moment, it was all so friggin' amazing.

I don't think I am going to the opera tonight. I want to, desperately, but I cannot justify the cost of travelling there (I still don't have a ride, and am afraid of testing Fairuza), plus the entry fee PLUS dinner. Just too damn much money.

I think I'll just clean, read, maybe go up to the library and watch movies, practice. Hell, I may even head up to The Ridges, just to tell the spirits I wish them a peaceful break.

Also, been listening to strange death-metal-type music a la France on My Space. They're called Lethian Dreams, and despite the fact I am not generally into death-metal AT ALL, I kinda like 'em. Someone said they were like a "crunchy Sigur Ros." I don't know about all that, but the girl has pretty vocals...when she's not growling, that is.

Oh! And for all you Postal Service lovers, check out the band Shiny Toy Guns. Except for maybe the "Rainy Monday" song. I don't care for it as much as I like the rest of their music. It's got too much of a Toad the Wet Sprocket feel, which kinda annoys me. Well, I like it when it gets into its chorus, but the versus urk me a tad. The rest of their songs are great though -- don't know how to classify them...they are listed as "Indie-Rock-Electronica." I guess that narrows it down a bit.
