I saw Christopher O'Riley play here last week for a mere $5, and was really astounded by him. He's also got this very amazing humility about him, which makes me like him more.

Also, and this is mostly for the likes of

helenoftroy1478, because I mentioned it to her, BUT... check out Eric Whitacre. He is coming to OU in January as a guest conductor. It should be interesting. Of course, I wish I'd known about his opera before it stopped running, but oh well. I will have to hunt down some songs from it eventually, that's a given.
