EEP! I've been LYNCHED!!!
May. 2nd, 2002 04:53 amI am still digesting Mulholland Drive.
David Lynch is brilliant! Just brilliant!
Admittedly, I still have no clue what the hell went on in Lost Highway, but some of the Inhabitants tend to think that is the point...it's a lost highway of images and illusions.
MH was beautiful though.
just beautiful, both cinema-wise as well as, and probably moreso even, metaphorically.
Had some wonderful company too, what with
hematite_cross,
bobtwc,
bindrune (what would a Lynching be without her?) and, of course, the roomie
wraptboy.I do not think it could have been a more comfortable night to retire from.
And I exposed them to some of David Lynch's music as well, aside from the Twin Peaks shtuff. He and Jocelyn Montgomery did this exquisite interpretation of Hildegard von Borgen(not sure of that last name...?)'s writings.
bindrune was sleeping soundly before the third track. tee!hee!
Tomorrow looks to be a produce-day...Synergy (oh yes, I will be tearing my ass outta bed...I sooo need it!) with
tylorael at 10:30AM, then write my speech paper on Sexual Addiction whilst sipping away at some coffee. I have to meet a speech classmate by 2PM at Tri-C west, and while I'm there I will be checking the status of, and praying for the arrival of the music I ordered. I do hope with all my being that it comes in. I really love "Ombra Mai Fu" as a work of art. How could I not, seeing as it is about the king, Serse, expressing his love and devotion to a tree???
SPEAKING OF TREES....it would seem that other than
kingtycoon,
wraptboy and some friends from school, no one else will be joining us at the Cinemateque for Little Otik. HA! Foooooolz...it will be your loss!!!
Then of course after that, Oontzing with the barflies...heh heh
zzzzzz...
Ok, I am sleep...
