Needless to say, I just have not slept nearly enough.
Life is good, nonetheless.

THE UNIVERSE WILL NOT STEAL MY JOY!!! HA HA!!!

*ahem!*

I woke up and got dressed this AM...no time for a shower, so I am a bit blech right now but oh well...I'll get to that in a sec.

Yeah, so I went out to get into Fairuza and lo! She had been raped.
Yes, someone has yet again ransacked my poor car, invaded her glove box and scattered her paperwork about. Luckily, they only took my umbrella, and I think they did that simply because they were so pissed off they couldn't find anything else worth stealing.

And to you, my invading fucknugget fiend, I scoff loudly and reply...

"HA!HA! HA! HA! HA-HA-HA-HA-HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
~>8P""""""""""""""""""""""""""

so NAH!

*ahem!*

Driving to Tri-C was mostly uneventful. The air was thick and murky, everyone groggy from the heat and storms last night. Of course, when I get to Tri-C, a rent-a-cop decided to pull me over. He claimed that the speed limit by the theater doors falls to 10MPH, and gave me shite for swirving into the fire lane -- mind you, this was to avoid hitting the Canadian goose that decided to do a kamikaze toward my front end. He said I needed to stop for the geese...I thought, "well, NO SHIT! DOI!" and tried to re-iterate the fact that the bird wasn't in the road when I started around the circle. He then went off about how endangered they are (again, DUH!) and how it is a federal offense to kill them.

The Inhabitants of Dawndom had a li'l tug-0-war over this whole sitcheeashun, but eventually the *good & kind* parts nodded sweetly and thanked the officer for not giving me a ticket.

Choir rehearsal was...tiresome. Not worthy of noting much. We worked on the Requiem, had an alto sectional, blah-dee-blahhh...my voice is getting VERY tired these days from singing tenor so much. I have to work twice as hard to keep my higher range outside of rehearsals, which is getting a bit trying. Ahh, the price I pay to sing...*insert violins...NOW*~;P

Driving home from Tri-C after dealing with stupid financial aid people and the counseling office that has NO CLUE about the music major requirements :::grumbles:::, the sky did a split-personality thing; to my right, the East, the sky was a pretty blue with white fluffy clouds. To my left, however, the West was nothing short of a stand-in for The Nothing in The Neverending Story. Black, low clouds were ripping across the sky very quickly, and Mike Trivisano(sp?) mentioned we had a storm coming in from Lorain. Umm, yeah, ya think?

Just then, this thing hit us (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] batty_ for the linky-dink!), and hail pelted my car so loudly my ears perked up and I almost put my earplugs in because it was insane! The world was less than five-feet away for the next ten minutes as I drove with blinkers on through Tremont and home.

I waited a moment for the hail to pass, swallowed my stomach and ran inside, sticking my tongue out at the lightning as I did so.

Now, it's nice and cool, the sky is grayish and I might still be going to CMF...

Life is good.

I cannot imagine how amazing it would have been to see this storm come in from the lake. Scary, yes, but amazing.

for someone afraid of lightning, it was just scary.

honestly, I'm very frightened of it myself, having stood twenty feet from a transformer that was struck a few years back and tasting the sulfur in my mouth. I think I just couldn't see enough yesterday between the rain and the hail to be scared of it.
