Went to Sal's for breakfast...the creamer swirled, despite the coffee being good without, and spoke worlds to me about possibility.
This is how my day began. Well, just after I took Chloebear out.
Did I mention we have a new addition to Jawndomay??? I know that
wraptboy has mentioned her slighly, but well...
Yes, we gave in. We went to the APL and rescued a puppy last weekend.
Her name on the cage said Chloe, so we stuck to it - mostly. However,
wraptboy can be heard uttering "Chloe-monster" while I prefer "Chloebear," as she looks like a panda with caramel and black fur.
I haven't ventured so far as to see if she's chewy, nor if she has nugat.
's okay though...I do not *heart* nugat.
blech!
Either way, "Chloe" alone will not do. We already have a lovely ivy-plant named Chloe...cannot confoozle the two.
Chloebear's Bio:
*She is part keeshond and part chow-chow.
*She has a purple tongue. *bounce*
*She is three.75 mos old.
*She is reeeeally smart.
*She is fluffy-soft and absotively adorable!
*Chloebear has a ligament problem in her lower legs, but seems to be improving daily, having mastered steps, jumping onto and off-of beds, couches, etc.
*She is a chicken-shit (LOL...yeah, fierce is her middle name! HA! HA!)
*She is nocturnal, and barking at me as I type this (I am sure that
wraptboy is loving the interference in sleep)
*She wants not only for the heat to go away, but also the West 14th road-refurbishing to end already.
*She is *heart*able as hayel.
Jawndomay seems more alive, despite the lethargy caused by the heat & thick air. But the ambiance has definitely brightened, and she is a doll.
Later, I discovered the main vortex to hell has manifested in the shape of Wal-mart.
ugh!
I ventured to speak with a certain Roman fellow, but he was not home. As it turns out, the campsite we are going to does not allow pets (WTF???) so we have to find a puppy-sitter. I think I can con Vito into it though. His SO is a sucker for animals, something like 27 cats??? Purely insane...I mean, I like animals, I really do. But DAMN!!!
So, hopefully that will work itself out.
Later still, ventures to Manja to see
lemonmerchant, who was kind enough to return my CDs unscathed (I expected no less~;). We started off with random small talk, but then the bartender decided that it was time to "punk-rawk," and there was some cover of a country song about Jesus on the Dashboard...ugh!
lemonmerchant spoke something, or at least mouthed a sentence towards me, but I could not hear him, being that he was on my left (deaf) side. I yelled out, "I CANNOT HEAR YOU AT ALL!!!"
Suddenly, I realized I was heard by EVERYONE.
Almost embarassing, but then
lemonmerchant said the same shortly thereafter, making me feel a li'l less self-conscious.

While sitting there, I watched the reflections in the window. The tin-foil trees made it look like there were trees just outside the bar, and when i looked up, there was the reflection of the disco ball, shimmery, spinning, seeming to hang from a star in the sky. I got lost in the glimmering, and
lemonmerchant noted that, if you adjusted your eyes to blur just so, the lights reflecting off the disco-ball made it look like it was snowing on the tin-foil trees.
Then we walked. I wanted to go to a park and swing, but thought better of it, seeing as I need to be up early. So we went back to his house where I had fun conversation and spooky-reminiscing with Mr. Make-Believe. I even was given the honor of a hug tonight! *bounce!*
See, I have known him for just over ten years now :::shivers::: He was one of two people i met when I first walked through the doors of Stow High School back in '91. He and Chickory Krish were walking by the library, and I recall the smell of sewage (the school is built on marsh, and supposedly sinking an 1/8th of an inch every year), and Chickory said something about my necklace, introducing herself and then Mr. Make-Believe. I have spent the past ten years running into him in various places on numerous occasions, and always make it a point to get him to laugh at least once while i am in his presence, and feel very honored when he allows me in his space for a hug.
The night ended with smiles, darkness, surprising sweetness, and the stalkings of an old-school hair-metal boy looking for a good parking space in Lakewood. He was a proud man, having won Scorpions tix singing karaoke last night at Jani Lane's bar (yes, of Warrant fame...they have Heavy Metal Karaoke every Wednesday LMAO). I made a smarmy remark about how I sure wish i hadn't missed that one...he then offered me to join him for the show. I laughed to myself, thanking him graciously, and reassuring him I had enough of Scorpions and Winger and Warrant and fill-in-the-blank hair-metal bands as a teen.
Not a dull night, although I did feel rather restless upon coming home.
Oh well...the insomnia is finally wearing off (did I mention I have to be up early? Like 7:30AM early??? BLARG!).
Maybe I'll have another wacky dream to post in
abstractions, which, I am proud to say, is going splendidly well! I am so proud of my creation...YAY!!!
:::self-plug...beware!!!:::
YOU should come and join...heh heh
ok. Sleep.
