I can't imagine how some of MRDD clients would react to that, can you imagine the meltdown. I hope those people are ashamed or learned from this or something, but here hoping and here's drinking.

see, the thing about the clients is, yeah, some of them would be wrecked, but that would soon pass because the others would be beating the crap out of the Christians partaking in the beatings of the bunny. And you know I wouldn't even bother to restrain them in such an event.

When I first looked at your post, I expected the link would take me to some report of those who inform children that figures like the Easter Bunny and Santa Clause don't really exist (which was something my own parents did as they felt to do otherwise would be lying to me, and is a topic that I can see both sides on). This, however, was just awful.

Well, the Easter season really is about Jesus being tortured, executed, and resurrected. If you don't emphasize those things, it's not really the highest Christian holy day like it's supposed to be. This is not the fall of civilization. It's people trying in vain to save civilization from an impending decline that they may be imagining.

If people are so concerned about promoting and preserving and defending Christianity, then they had better not try to shield children from the Truth as they see it. Gotta get it into their heads at an early age that fundamentalist Christianity is a religion obsessed with brutality. They will be better equipped to make sound moral and philosophical choices in the future because of this "good Christian upbringing."

Such is the idea. It all sounds a bit nutty to me. You don't have to torture the Easter Bunny. Just don't include him. The worst is that kids might start thinking that Jesus is the Easter Bunny or vice versa.
