Saturday was one of the best days I have had in a very long time. I discovered my goals for weight-loss up till now were surpassed, went to lunch with a fun, interesting boy at a new, yummy place in Tremont (new for me, anyway...La Bodega...YUM!), walked all over Tremont, down into Cleveland a bit and then back to Jawndomay where we met up with [livejournal.com profile] wraptboy and, eventually, [livejournal.com profile] bindrune.

We all piled into [livejournal.com profile] wraptboy's car and headed to Spaces where we experienced some really fun art, and the two-sided piece by Henry Darger was breathtaking. I didn't think it would have such an impact on me, but it really did. I think the abundance of information I have accumulated over the past few months and, especially, the past few weeks, made the piece far more intimate for me than I had expected it to be. Also, it was my first time at Spaces, and I really like the place. It's not The Mattress Factory in Pittsburgh, but it's pretty neat. [livejournal.com profile] wraptboy and I are supposed to visit a gallery downtown called Moca, which has some neat installation pieces in it until the end of April. I decided I like installation art a great deal after my last trip to visit [livejournal.com profile] krylon64 in PA. Something about an entire room covered in melted hard-candy is just infinitely wonderful. Nevermind the fact that you can walk around in the room as well!

Also, there was a book with all of Darger's paintings and stories in it...what I wouldn't give for that book...ommfg...

We headed to the wine bar in Ohio City after, amused by all the 20's-esque outfits people were sporting as they headed to the Great Lakes Brewery. No idea what the hub-bub was, but some of the dresses and feather boas...oh my...

We all decided to eventually head back to Jawndomay for cheaper drinks and more intimate conversations. The company was wonderful, the drinks kept us all spinning and happy, and one of the best Exquisite Corpse drawings ever was created between me, Daniel and [livejournal.com profile] wraptboy. gave me some ideas, thoughts, musings...

eventually, [livejournal.com profile] bindrune became very energetic and convinced Daniel and me to go to Lincoln Park Pub for a round and some pool. I have become horrid at the billiards, which is sad because I used to be really good at it. Nevertheless, we had a blast, and [livejournal.com profile] bindrune was soooo shnockered! It was funny as hayel.

Ran into the Decadent crew celebrating birthdays, and eventually stumbled back to Jawndomay.

Of course, amidst the entire night's fun, my mind kept wandering to the boy, and BAM! he called. Not once, but twice. [livejournal.com profile] wraptboy said he isn't making things any easier than I am, which was good to hear. I am trying so hard to step back from this situation, as the potential for my heart being smooshed by the circumstances is tremendous. He moves in three weeks to AZ, and then I have no idea when I'll ever see him again. He is coming here on Sunday to visit for a few days, and then I will drive him back to PA to finish packing, etc. I am not predicting anything at this point. I just know that for the past six months I have spoken to Gabe via e-mail, IM and/ or the phone at least every other day. I hope this move doesn't change that. Even without the deeper levels of attachment, his friendship means a great deal to me. I always knew it would though.

As for today, well, slack was the plan. Hangovers haunted some brains, Butthead about had a heart-attack while the dog was at the groomers. Oh, and CBM looks SOOO adorable with her new haircut and bow! She really is one of the most adorable dogs ever.~8)

Sal's for bleakfast, American Beauty, Good Will Hunting, and Dirty Pretty Things kept my brain on "zzzz" most of the day, which was nice for a change. The only truly productive thing I accomplished today was a rehearsal with Brian Shephard. Our set for the April 24th show at Abbasso is coming along swimmingly well, and i cannot wait to just enjoy that night. It will be the first time in a very long time I have sung in a non-opera setting (other than karaoke) in a very long time. Again, I cannot emphasize how nice it is to be writing and singing my own shtuff after so long.

And with that, I need to try to sleep. I have a funeral to attend at 11AM in Parma. I hope Brad is hanging in there all right. His father died last week.~8/ So much sadness around me...hang in there, my friends. (((HUGZ!)))

You shouldn't let the impending leaving get in the way of the time you have now with the boy. We never know how many moments we are given in life, and to make less use of the ones we have now just because they might not keep coming for much longer is the silliest thing. Savor.
