Oop.. Heh. I tend to recommend any music I'm listening to at that very moment. Have you heard of Macy Grey? Her album The Trouble With Being Myself is really good. And I bet you've heard of Digable Planets, but prolly only the song The Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat). They have two albums full of good songs. Their debut Blowout Comb and the one that everyone has, Reachin (A New Refutation of Time and Space)

I have a hard time tolerating Macy Gray's voice. I don't know...it's got a certain timbre that urks the crap out of my ears and makes my shoulders tense. I think it's because I can hear that she is damaging her vocal chords with the way she sings, so it just goes against my singing principles. Kinda like Bonnie Tyler in the '80's...her voice got all screwed up because she wasn't using the right part of her body as a singer. In fact, if I remember correctly, she wound up with nodes on her vocal chords as a result of abusing them.

I have heard a few songs by Digable Planets, but I will look into them as well.

Thankies!
