Walking with blond hair, long flowing, my ass tickled. I am walking on gray lands, gray-blue skies like eyes I can't remember. They haunt me. Leaves blow by in color-streaks. orange-red-yellow-gray gray gray. I thought I was a man for a moment, but I wasn't. Tornadoes everywhere, little ones that I can laugh at. I converse with someone, my eyes are the same color as the sky, and the hauntings are even deeper within me, and I begin to hurt in my chest. I don't know who I spoke to, but they watched and listened to me talking about nothing memorable as the little tornadoes shot through me, slowly at first. Again and again, one by one they came toward and then through me. They were ghosts, but tornadoes, little deaths taking pieces of me with them as they passed through me. I felt empty.

Walked home, went inside to find my pet albino rat in her cage. But she became a he, and then a lizard. Black, orange, hissing, unhappy animal. I wanted it, my hair mousy brown, I am small, but still an adult mentally. I try to hold it, but it wants to escape. I somehow manage to grab it and put it in a tupperware container. Mom comes home, groceries covering stairs. She is pissy, but I still tell her about the lizard. She says, "Hold on a second, Dawn," and I wait, if not a bit impatiently.

She eventually gives me a carrier, and I show her why I need it. The lizard has shrunken because he was restricted in such small surroundings. I pick up the container, the lid was loose and I cannot understand why he didn't try to escape. The lizard is male.

I am carrying him outside with me, walking outside an office building with a brick wall and small bushes just outside it's door. A man is walking a cat, a very angry white cat. It's eyes are a sharp, piercing blue, fire-laden infernos of madness. The lizard begins jumping around in his carrier, a bit larger now, but I can only feel his weight. The cat is hissing and throwing its claws toward us, but I am calm. The lid to the carrier opens, and the lizard is back to being a white rat, running toward the bushes, the cat after her. It doesn't phase me. I close the lid, keep walking somewhere else.

Focus on the rat, catching her breath. Another animal urges her to hide better, her eyes big and red and frightened-crazy. She tucks her rear under some red rocks, and the other creatures keep saying, "yessss." The cat grumbles as it searches unsuccessfully. Its owner grabs its collar, yanks it back and it yipes as only a cat can yipe.

The rat lays her head down in relief, breathing deeply, and begins to sob.
