I really liked it. It was just spooky enough to make me jump in my seat a few times (and promptly laugh my ass off...I love a movie that can make me jump!).

It also has a tremendous amount of symbolism that ties together very well throughout the movie.

Also, Penelope Cruz is a bad-ass crazy person, very creepy and dead-on. Good acting all around...about my only complaint has to do with the reality of the medical situations which left something to be desired in the realism department. But that's just me and my background. Any ol' joe wouldn't know the difference, honestly.

As for the reviews...eff 'em. It was worth getting lost in, IMO. I never pay attention to reviews anyway because I almost always disagree with them.

My roommate really wants to see it and we talked of seeing a movie on Thanksgiving evening... though it seems like they're pulling it from the local theatre here on James Island b/c it's been bombing... So I don't think we'll get to see it... I was gonna give it a shot since I wasn't sure how it'd be...
