sharpshinyclaws, she threw a knife back at me.
1) Who was your first boyfriend?
The boy I consider to be my very first *real* boyfriend was Philip Noel Waddles. Yes, that was his name. I was a freshman in high school and he was a senior, and we were The couple for about eight months. It ended very badly - he scared me with his possessiveness and was rather verbally insulting, and well, I fell in love for the first time -- with someone else who, to this day, always makes me feel alive inside. Philip, on the other hand, still curses my name when it is brought up in conversations with a mutual friend.
2) How did you and Jay meet?
Well, there was this girl, Jennifer, who began working at Howe House with me about five years ago this September. The most strong memory I have of this girl was a night spent in watch in the back hallway -- a client was one-on-one for health complications. I brought in my tarot deck and gave her a reading, and we had great conversations about our families and lives.
As time progressed, Jennifer and I became very good friends. She and I had much in common, and our lives seemed to almost parallel each other.
Eventually, Jay came into the picture through Jennifer, and as Jay and I became closer friends, Jennifer faded more and more from the picture.
3) Do you pick scabs off, or leave them alone?
I pick 'em...too anxious to leave shite alone for very long!
4) How did you move to Cleveland?
Lived in Cuyahoga Falls with two roomies. One of the two went more and more bonkers (supposedly MPD), while the other's boyfriend moved in and well, he and I were not a good combination of personalities. Some friends in Old Brooklyn had just lost a roommate and offered to let me stay with them. I jumped at the chance to get out of suburbia and into the city.
5) Ever read a romance novel? What was it?
You know, I cannot say that I ever have. I think I tried once because my mom has thousands of books and for a while they were all romance novels. I never got through one though. I think the closest thing to a romance novel I have come to was Poppy Z. Brite's Drawing Blood, but it's really just horror with a lot of sex and indulgence.
