What frightens you more, truth or the not-knowing?

Which do you find more comfortable and why?

I'll take truth any day - no matter how bad for my ego. Knowing more makes my decisions easier, my life smoother and helps me remove my weaknesses. If I don't know, how can I do?

Not-knowing scares me, very much, and makes me very uncomfortable.

not-knowing frightens me much more than knowing. After all the basis of the human psyche in regards to fear is the unknown. Thus I'm far more comfortable as well with knowing.

Isn't it amazing though, to think how some people can fear others simply because they don't know why they made certain life decisions? Or maybe even because they have a disability? Just thoughts that occur to me every so often. I hate walking in public with one of my clients only to have to defend them because some nimrod is afraid of what he doesn't comprehend.

Sad, sad world sometimes.

Thanks for answering!

they're about equal.
any horribleness you can think of, most likely someone has done it.

It was with this exact thing in mind that I felt the need to ask.

Again, we are too much alike in many respects.

i have always preferred truth, as it bears with it a lack of illusion. (albeit there are times when not-knowing is preferable.)

what's more, something i use that was handed to me a long time ago regarding finding the truth: "are you willing to accept the pain of knowing?"

clearly a 2x-edged blade, but overall i think it stems from what individual circumstance merits, but more than no, i opt for truth.

truth is much easier to deal with.
not knowing is just all sorts of stress.
