foggery

neither of the tests came back positively, so the basic Dx = throat funk. Or, at least that's what my accompanist Katie called it. She has it too, although she seems worse off than I am.

Thank you to everyone for the good throat ju-ju. The next 1.5 weeks are going to be brutal on my voice in a number of ways, and now with this, it's bound to be even harder.

I slept about ten hours last night, waking only because the thunder and lightning were off the hook. yesterday was a big blur of storms, with just a hint of sunshine to mix it up a bit. Of course, the sunshine came while I was at the clinic. Oh well...I enjoyed the storms, actually. I kept my coat on and my hat and scarf and sat out on the porch for about a half hour watching the lightning...I am very fortunate to live up in the hills. It's very beautiful.

I didn't drink any coffee today, and I think i'm starting to pay for it. I wound up singing for my studio today after all. Dr. Pease had taken me off the program, but I told her I could do it. She seemed to be thinking about other things, told me OK, and walked away quickly.

My stomach was kinda in my throat upon meeting with her. Such is my sadness right now. I need a new mask.

I really just want to go and sleep for a while. Des said the Zyrtec will make me tired, but I took it at like 7 this morning, so I don't think that's it.

ugh, and the meds, both of them, cause dry mouth. Although I was (mostly) up for singing this afternoon, my mouth got so dry that the air hurt my throat, and I didn't breathe well. Lots of, "nice job today, Dawn" going on. That equals, "We'll give you a break because you're not feeling well."

Fucking voice snobs.
heh.

I could ramble about nothingness for a while, but I think I'll go practice for the piano final tomorrow. Well, the first part, anyway.
