On a completely different note...this becoming a morning person is really quite odd. I think I will take a nap after Italian class...I don't have to be anywhere until 2PM after it, so...besides, I have been invited to a party at inthecouch's place tonight. Gotta get some rest beforehand!

Holy SHIT my head hurts!!!

So I got a call from the financial aid people yesterday and have just spoken with a very nice woman named Vicky who informed me that I have not one, but TWO statuses here at OU.

Firstly, I am a junior in the grand scheme of things.
To this I say, "WTF???!"

She says that, because of my credit hours, I am considered a Junior. I tell her that I was told I am a sophomore. She says that this sophomore status is directly related to the music school, not OHU as a whole.

WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON????

Anyway, she says that because of my higher status, I have more access to federal loans, and don't need the alternative loan.

I.am.SO.FUCKING.CONFUSED!!!!

*sigh*

If I didn't have class right now, I think I'd crawl back into bed and hide...I know, it sounds good, but it feels bad, if that makes sense. I am going to take the loans, because I really need them - I have no books, and I don't have the money to pay for an accompanist for the semester (ye, we have to find an accompanist which is OK, but it's $15 a week for ten weeks, and I just don't have that money on my own). I explained to Vicky my worries, and she said to go to the registrar's office and tell them to clean up my files because I am a junior, not a sophomore.

GAH!

yeah, my brain is going uber-mooshy.
And I still have a call to make today.

Synopsisesesesssss...

I am up to 18 credit hours.
Added the second-level music lit & history class and the class piano (all but had to chase the f00ker down to get this done. grr.)Also added an opera theater class, which has been most fun thus far.

Bummer to the new schedule is that a. the only opening in the class piano was at 8:10-9AM M-W (OMFG...this is going to be PAINFUL!!!) and b. I had to switch times in my Italian class, which means I won't be able to help Vanessa out each day. It's been a fair trade though - she's not good with languages, and I don't have a book, so she let's me share hers, and I tutor her on the Italian shtuff I do know. I am s'posed to meet with her tomorrow afternoon to do some homework and practice some of the phrases and the alphabet. It's nice to have made a friend.~8)

I still don't know what my status is, but I am done stressing about it. It's out of my hands now. I have my new loans coming in, and that is that. They won't be here until next week sometime, which hurts on a few levels (I really need my books!) but there's not anything I can really do about it.

Again, no use stressing about it, right?

After dealing with all that, and going to our new president's inauguration (I heard a pretty great speech) I noticed a headache coming on and decided to head back to Dawndom.

After downing Excedrin, I considered a nap, but instead, something took over and I began decorating my dorm finally. I am really quite pleased with how I've done thus far. I decided to put away a good portion of the frames around pics and just ticky-tac them to the walls. I need to get my tapestry out of Fairuza yet, put that up and then figure out the rest. My room feels more like home now at least, oh, and there's ROOM TO WALK TOO!!! YAY!
