Holy SHIT my head hurts!!!
Sep. 10th, 2004 09:23 amSo I got a call from the financial aid people yesterday and have just spoken with a very nice woman named Vicky who informed me that I have not one, but TWO statuses here at OU.
Firstly, I am a junior in the grand scheme of things.
To this I say, "WTF???!"
She says that, because of my credit hours, I am considered a Junior. I tell her that I was told I am a sophomore. She says that this sophomore status is directly related to the music school, not OHU as a whole.
WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON????
Anyway, she says that because of my higher status, I have more access to federal loans, and don't need the alternative loan.
I.am.SO.FUCKING.CONFUSED!!!!
*sigh*
If I didn't have class right now, I think I'd crawl back into bed and hide...I know, it sounds good, but it feels bad, if that makes sense. I am going to take the loans, because I really need them - I have no books, and I don't have the money to pay for an accompanist for the semester (ye, we have to find an accompanist which is OK, but it's $15 a week for ten weeks, and I just don't have that money on my own). I explained to Vicky my worries, and she said to go to the registrar's office and tell them to clean up my files because I am a junior, not a sophomore.
GAH!
yeah, my brain is going uber-mooshy.
And I still have a call to make today.
*sigh*
breathing is good.

Don't worry about the paying back until you have the degree. You are getting what you need for right now...feel that wind??
