In other news, my leg is getting better.
In better news than that, sharpshinyclaws rules the f$#@!&* world. I missed going to the gymn yesterday...didn't want to piss of the leg more. She came by Jawndomay after her workout and dropped off the new Lisa Gerrard album for me. I about wet myself. Seriously.

What's going on tonight? Anything exciting? I am trying to avoid being locked inside my home alone for hours. wraptboy is heading to Dayton today, so I will have the house to myself. Hmm...maybe I will watch countless episodes of Aeon Flux - krylon64 let me borrow his box set when I visited him last. Or, or maybe I will finish the painting I am working on. It's been whispering to me at night, particularly when I am just about to go to sleep. It tells me to touch it then, when I am barely lucid and wanting nothing more than to sleep and stay warm and shnuggly beneath my blankets.

heh, silly hor(ror)scopes

Being the lame gal that I can be, I acquire two hor(ror)scopes each day, one from Astrocenter.com and the other from Swoon.com. Why do I do this? It has to do with whether or not the planets are truly alligned, enough to make both 'scopes consistent with one another. Or maybe I just find amusement in seeing how much they differ.

Either way, they both kinda worked together today. BUT, swoon's was the best of the two...

OH! Speaking of music...if anyone on here is into singer/songwriter-type music, ie - acoustic guitar-based with pretty vocals, etc. Check out Damien Rice. A friend had me listen to this song, "Volcano" a few months back (well, more like six months ago), and I really loved that song. It's very sad, but awesome. I hadn't heard anything else by him until the other day when I walked past a listening station at Borders and voila! There was his album, O. So, I took a listen to the first track, "Delicate." I was soon a sobbing mess, right in the middle of Borders! It was *soooo* friggin' sad though! Gorgeous, gorgeous music, not to mention his voice and lyrics rip your soul out.

OK, enough of this. I have to get on my moo ("to work" for the less-edumacated~8)

Last post before I go to work...

Can anyone tell me what kind of equipment, if any, the Phantasy has? Is it useable, or should I rent some shtuff?

I still feel like a baby with all of this...kinda sad, I know, but I just don't know really what I should or should not rent with regard to their set-up, nor do I know where to rent from. Soooo...if anyone has any info about all this, and wouldn't mind giving me some advice, I'd appreciate it!

Conclusion

After seeing this, I have come to the conclusion that I either need a better lens for close-up photos with my ol' faithful Minolta, or I need a digital camera.

There. I said it.

All my geeky friends will be thrilled to see I finally fell to The Dark Side of technology.

I still love the old ways of photography, on a personal level. There are so many levels to taking a really good photograph. I have this friend, Mike, who takes some of the most interesting pics of textures and light, all from the bounds of his carpeting and a tube light.

The simplest of things are sometimes the most beautiful.
Take a look around, folks. You're likely missing something wonderful right under your nose.~8)
