Conclusion

After seeing this, I have come to the conclusion that I either need a better lens for close-up photos with my ol' faithful Minolta, or I need a digital camera.

There. I said it.

All my geeky friends will be thrilled to see I finally fell to The Dark Side of technology.

I still love the old ways of photography, on a personal level. There are so many levels to taking a really good photograph. I have this friend, Mike, who takes some of the most interesting pics of textures and light, all from the bounds of his carpeting and a tube light.

The simplest of things are sometimes the most beautiful.
Take a look around, folks. You're likely missing something wonderful right under your nose.~8)

If I am reading this correctly, which I probably am not, but, you think? I didn't think any of it was obscure.

btw...I am terrible with French.

Hahah... sorry, was listening to too much french hip hop (no, don't ask why - there's no good reason), and it's some line about coming to the Dark Side of the Force.

HA HA! Awesome...here I thought you'd written something profound too...~8D

I went through about three translators and it kept saying something about the obscure force, although none of them could figure out the word "Vienez."

I listen to a French band called In the Nursery fairly often, so no explanation necessary. Music is music, regardless of the language.

On a kinda funny note, I am presently ripping my hair out trying to learn a French song. The music is super easy, but the lyrics just won't stick in my head. French never does. Weird.

Oops.... HAHAHAHAH! The reason you couldn't translate that is because the verb is misspelled! An "i" slipped in there somehow. It's really been that kind of weekend, with things just "slipping in there."

Hope you had a good one!

well, you either need a macro lens..
or, if you get a digital, you need an add on close up lens, and make sure the digital take an attachment for it.. (i'm assuming you aren't planning on buying one of the thousand dollar plus digital slrs...

I was thinking of the macro, as I prefer my older camera. But, if I were to get a digital, no, it would be fairly simple.
I also want to get some more filters...I have a polarizing and a sparkle lens. Much fun with those...~8)
