OMF*^%&%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sep. 17th, 2003 03:19 amDetroit is filled with maddening construction, and had the intent to foil not only our getting to St. Andrew's Hall, but also leaving the damn city. Thank goodness for Adrian, who happens to know the area fairly well. We started heading toward Chicago, just because 75 was closed and we had a notion to go way the hell around. Then 275 appeared, and we are now back.
Good company.
Good directions.
Calm reactions.
D e l e r i u m!
Outstanding!!!!
Bill Leeb is a lot better looking than I recall him being back when I saw FLA.
Kirsty Thirsk sounds just as much like an angel live, although she's a lot more serious I than any celestial being would be, IMO.
The lead singer of Conjure One does a fabulous version of Lisa Gerrard, and smirks the entire time, mocking too-serious Kirsty Thirsk and other-unknown-singer-chick, as well as the too-serious goth kids. I adored her.
There were seven people in Delerium all together, including a drummer, guitar player and bass. And the keys? All Ryhs and Bill. behind them, a running video of jellyfish as clouds in the sky, girls drowning, chrysanthemums blooming...very cool.
There was another girl whose name escapes me singing songs as well. She had a pretty voice, but she strained it over the course of the night, and by the time they did "Silence," she sounded pretty bad. Very flat, struggling. Kirsty took over.
But oh! The bass player for Delerium!
!!!
Very rarely do I get all kindsa hot and bothered over another girl, but DAYEM!
Just....*drools*
Between this gal Leah (that was her name), Bill, and the Conjure One chick, sleeping is going to be rather....dissatisfying.~;P
*sigh*
