Date: 2003-02-09 06:48 pm (UTC)honestly, i am amazed. i have never heard of a legitimate, selective music program that tells applicants of their admissions decision a day after the audition. guess they do not want you to wait.

They actually told me on the spot that they would be taking me in, along with one of the best compliments ever about how I was only one of five "true mezzos" they had heard over the months of auditions, and that they "truly enjoyed" my voice. I cannot evem describe how good that made me feel!
Also though, tuition payment plans begin on March 1st, so they had to pretty much tell everyone that day "yes" or "no." It is legit, however...very highly regarded in the opera community. Believe you me, I wouldn't waste my time on anything that wasn't totally checked-out. I ahve lost too much, both money-wise and emotionally, to such foolery. Never again. Thanks for the concern though.

Next time I take a trip down that way I'll letcha know. I go to VA at least once a year, if not a few times at least. Lotsa friends down that way.
