I went out to get the tix for the 7:45 show of Episode II..., so that I might join all my friends on their journey this evening. Cinemark had the sign up with the times written on it...I was hopeful. I wait in line for not so long, and then am let down - it has been sold out.

I should have known.

Spent the remainder of the day (thus far) shopping for garb. I have a wedding going on this weekend (Saturday) that is medieval attire only, and with that...I have some garb, but it is make-shift, and not at all appropriate for a wedding-event. There will be a battle, a feast...many people to meet and converse with as Ci`aran McCleavage, the Dark Siren of House Dunn Phalin. I hope she comes out well on Saturday...God knows i could use the escapism right now.

At any rate, this has been fruitless as well, although I did get some good tips on e-mail just now. I will be out again soon.

I had plans to do things here in Jawndomay, but there are more pressing interests going on, so I will wait.

Maybe I will visit Andrea's grave Saturday after the wedding.
That'll be funny...going to a cemetary in garb...almost sickeningly goth-spooky. :::HORF!:::

I think I need to meditate or something...anything to settle down for a minute. I should have gone to Synergy today instead of wasted my time and energy on the Cinemark-exposition. Oh well...lessons learned or something.

Anyone wanna go garb hunting with me?

OH!!! sharpshinyclaws ...when is that drum circle thingy you go to? Even if I no longer have a drum, the sounds alone would be soothing right now.

And also...zeldachik & tylorael - are you two really going to Burning Man this summer? If so, would you be interested at all in having a Siren along to sing you lullabies at night?

Seems Zelda is going with about the same plan. Mayhaps we could work on it over the course of a year then? be neat for us to come up with our own theme! ~8)

I don't really have a plan for where I'd be camping, other than with zelda. I'm going to wait until after this year's burn to see. From there, if I have a job come December, I'm buying my ticket and saving the money.

speaking of sirens at BM...there was one of the Death Guild girls, Marisa who would sing opera inside the thunderdome before the firedancing and battles.....she sang the goddamn song from fifth element! it was amazing!

i'm definitely goin again this year tho......only 101 days left!

I talked to some people that are attending the wedding and they are going to let me borrow some shtuff, seeing as there aren't and Ren Faires between tonight and tomorrow at 11AM.

When the faires come, I think it would be way cool to go with you. That would be splendid!

Went to the drum circle thingy...it was...a bit surreal. I am more used to the drumming at Pensic War, which is much more formal. Lots of cooks in the kitchen, if you know what I mean. No biggie though...I just like to stir occasionally! ~8)

I don't know if I'm going to make it again this year or not til next year, my finances will tell within the next month, and then there's the whole transportation issue to contend with.

If I do make it, you should absolutely come along, it will be like coming home for you. Familiarize yourself with the survival guide at www.burningman.com, and get lost in the image gallery...

But, I must warn you: I was crowned "Karaoke Queen of the Playa" by the Karaoke Love Chariot and it's not a title I plan on relinquishing easily ;)
