Ok, so SOME traditions get under my skin

Upon waking this morning afternoon, bindrune and I were discussing how silly we believe the New Year's tradition of kissing is. I mean, what does kissing have to do with a new year? Is it the idea of a baby, as in Baby New Year? Like, "Hey, kiss me, then we'll go have crazy-mad sex and make a kid for the new year!"??? Where did this madness stem from?

We both decided that we should just go around and kiss as many people as we can in the minute that midnight stands.

Not that either of us haven't done this before, and not that it hasn't backfired horribly *ahem!* but well, it's a good way to get over the annoyance of other people doing it, and disrupt their moment.

Chaos shall prevail - BEHOLD! The Inhabitants of Dawndom and their right-hand, err...or something, person bindrune shall be the kissing bandits tonight!

Be prepared to be a part of the thievery, fools!!!

Nah, not at all.

Kissing is awesome, and I have nothing against it. I was just being silly because I had no date for NYE, nor did bindrune - so we made plans to kiss lotsa people. And we did...I think I smooched about nine people all together. Just smooches though - I was good Dawn Dawn.

And in as much as I was itchy about the tradition part, I admit it got me a li'l bummed out when the time came.

BTW...I went party-hopping. I had gotten a Thai-food dinner invite by a friend at the last minute, but I had already made the other plans, and was a good designated driver. It was fun though.

Will you be going to Thursdays this weekend? I only went there once, and I didn't have the best of times, but it might be a nice change. I don't know my work schedule though, so it'd be up in the air till Friday.
