OK, so sitting here reading about everyone's lives, a song comes on that I really actually like on "Sirens of Song" via live365.com. I go and take a look....

their name is Jem. Like the dolls/ cartoon I loved as a kid.

So i went a-searching...

Found her here. She looks nothing...lemme repeat that, NOTHING like the Jem I once knew!!!

Hrmph!!!

Well, her voice was pretty. and I liked the song, "Falling for You," so she might have a chance in Dawndom.

Speaking of those dolls, there's these dolls my niece was all into the past couple years called "Bratz," which I decided early on were pathetic attempts at copying the Jem dolls I once had. The only thing is, these dolls are HOOCHIES!!! Seriously, they dress very scantily, which isn't such a big deal if you're not 7 years old an impressionable! Then again, a lot of people thought Jem the same way. I just liked her for her rebellious hair and rock-stardom!

Anyway, enough of all this...I've got shtuff and junk to do.

Jem was marketed on the concept of being outrageous. Truly, truly, truly outrageous. Quite naturally, that would have offended many of our sensibilities. She wasn't just a rock star -- she was like Che, but with bangles and eyeliner.

I heard the song at work the other day and thought the same thing!Woah she totally does NOT look like "Jem". heh.I loved that cartoon!I never had the dolls but my friend did and we would play all the time. Although she did tower over barbie and had a much bigger head lol.
