I'm thrilled some of you enjoy guns and like playing with them...more power to you. And yes, I can just skim past it, but it doesn't stop my heart from wanting to jump out of my chest when it flies by my vision.

Just...yeah.
Phobias suck, and in as much as I'd like it to not be a big deal, it is.

thanks, I now have the mix-up of NIN's "The Hand That Feeds" with Ray Parker Jr.'s "Ghostbusters" going through my head. A much better image/ sound! ~8)

I can deal with icons, but when I am going through my friends list and see a pic of one of my friends holding a gun which is point-blank in the face of the camera (and viewer) it is rather disconcerting.

Oh, I was looking at the recent posts to Three Words friends page. And as I related to your post because an icon I've seen is of a gun held to a person's head, which bothered me because hey, I've been that person before. And I'm alive and well now, but still. Such a photo as you saw showing up in my friends list (who I hope all know me well enough not to be such an idiot) would certainly bother me even more.

for what it's worth, i just have to say, that guns, especially hand guns, make me nervous. they frighten me.

too many hand guns wind up (even those owned by good people) killing someone, either on purpose or by accident, and it's often a friend, family member or them selves.

guns are for killing and i'm against killing

i don't have a good argument for any other type of protection, tazers, mace, karate lessons etc. i say, use dead bolts lock your car when in it always, be aware of your surroundings, if possible, own and have with you always a cell phone for 911 and pray. or, be at peace with yourself and trust in God. even bad things happen for a reason and the bad guys will be punished if not in this life, then the next.
