Dream #___, female
Feb. 3rd, 2005 12:08 pmI see myself sitting at a desk, a round-about desk with machines sitting so high on it that I cannot see people around me. It's a job of some sort, numbers flashing in green hyper-speed before my eyes. I wonder if someone accidentally casted me for a scene in the next Matrix movie, and then consider how stupid this would be. And then I heard it, or rather, him.
I stand, and see that there is nothing beyond the desk - no wall, no office. Just black space, and distant, barely glowing stars. I turn to my right and say, "He can hear them.
taewakan hears the banshees, and his ears bleed."
Slowly, calculatedly,
andragon rises from behind the mass of machinery to my right, eyes peeking over the gray towers, smiling. I cannot see his mouth, but I do not need to - I know he is smiling.
"Well," he says, " I guess we'll just have to turn him off then, won't we?"
I start to think about this a moment, and decide that humans are not machinery with one simple switch.
andragon says inside my mind (I can still see his smirking eyes though), "Of course not. You know that is not what I meant."
I hear distant cries, and look out in front of me only to see a star flicker and die.
