OK, so first things first.

I keep meaning to do this, but I was never sure until a couple of days ago it was OK to do, so...

I introduce a relatively new LJ user, Ms. [livejournal.com profile] nekrophiliac! She's been on a while, but hasn't met anyone new on here. She's really cool, has a great, dark sense of humor (one of the reasons I like her bunches~;), is a mistress of the sewing world, and is really-incredibly blunt-honest good. I would venture to say she's a tad on the shy-side, but still has her crass... I think it'd be rad if anyone out there felt like adding her and thus meeting someone new from the outskirts of Cleveland.

Second, [livejournal.com profile] bigjohnsinging has made a request to get some singers together before Christmas for a fun night of karaoke somewhere in town. After talking with him a moment via LJ, I am thinking (and he can correct me if I am wrong) that we will be hanging out at The Winchester in Lakewood on Tuesday night, probably after 8PM-ish. We haven't established a definite time, but the more people that say, "hey! yeah, that sounds like fun!" and give their 2 or 3 cents worth of thought about the matter, the more likely we are to have more definite plans. So yeah...HINT HINT! Come sing with us, no cover at the door, no contests or pressure...just come and enjoy yourselves. We discussed the possibility of a VERY CHEAP gift exchange...meaning, under $5, or even just dust-collectors from home. Hell, origami would even work. Just leave comments below if you're at all interested, and we'll talk more about the gift thingy later. It's not necessary, just a thought. I'm too poor to do much more than bring a dust collector myself, so... yeah.

The weekend has been way more fun/ relaxing than I can possibly describe. I think my funk is lifting, many thanks to the Jawndomay peeps and [livejournal.com profile] tiktiktok, among others. ~8)

Oh, the extended ROTK is outstanding, although 4-5 hours for a movie is just insane. Loved it though...thank you to [livejournal.com profile] jjjiii, [livejournal.com profile] angelhipster, and Sabrina for bringing yourselves and the movie over for our viewing pleasure. 'twas much fun.

OK, time to eat before I die.

ROTK was great. Don't like how they didn't put more to the ending (the Hobbiton 'enslavement' shoulda been in there) but the guy who looked like Voldo... we had to watch that part 5000 times.

yeah, we all kinda commented on how the ending shoulda included some more shtuff...I mean, if they were gonna go that far, they may as well have gone the rest of the way!

I couldn't help noticing the similarities between the Mouth of Sauron (sp?) and the one cynobite (sp?) from Hellraiser with the chattery-teeth. We loved that!!!

coenobium
(Greek: koinos, common; bios, life)

A community of monks, or cenobites, living in the same house under one authority; a monastery; convent; religious community. Their origin is ascribed to Anthony, the anchorite, of the 3rd century, and with a greater degree of probability to Pachomius of Tabenna, of the 4th century. The earliest were very probably for women. An ancient Irish coenobium was originally a sept, or family, whose chief had become its religious head or had relinquished the headship to a comarba (Gaelic: comharba, successor, vicar, abbot). The word Coenobium is sometimes used for the basilica or church of the monastery.

Ah- I thought if it was someone you knew out in the unreal world, then I might have met them.

Do you know who does the karaoke at the Winchester these days? I know Jerry Kromer did it, but it's been a few months now that he's been gone. . .

hmm...don't know. I just figured it was the same person. ~{8/ Damn...see, I liked him bunches too, which is why I made that suggestion. Grr...

may have to look into other options, which, at this point, you're the only one who's mentioned the karaoke, so I wonder if other people just aren't up for it?

Hey! Yeah, that sounds like fun! Lemme know when the specifics are ironed out. Hmmm..small gift exchange...drinks are less than $5..do they count?~ ;p

I am thinking of cancelling all together, honestly. You and one other person have replied with interest, but the original idea came from somewhere else, and he hasn't even responded so it seems kinda pointless.

Oh, and yes, drinks could count if you wished. ~;)

I am thinking I might head out to the Champps on your end of town Thursday, should you be on that side that night. I'll let you know more as I do on all counts though.
