There are two trees inhabiting the essential land that Jawndomay sits upon. The one in the front area, specifically on the tree lawn, has been trimmed to almost it's bare essentials due to power lines sharing air with it. When I returned from Athens for break, this almost broke my heart completely.
Out in the backyard, kinda not on the same land (it's technically the brick building's property, not Andy's [our landlord]) there is a small tree in the corner which grows richly and fully over the spring and summer, adding a little more green to the otherwise dim area.
There are new tenants moving into the storefront just beside this little tree. They have been emptying out the previous tenant's garbage the past couple weeks. Not sure what they are or what their business will be, but a very large Illuminating Co. truck just pulled into the back, and they seem to be scanning the tree and its locale.
I cannot explain how incredibly sad I will be if they cut down that tree.
~8(
Update: They trimmed the branches up against the brick building, and that seems to be the whole of the damage. Not too bad, I guess. I am just glad it's still standing.

*HUG* I'm sorry your tree neighbors were trimmed severely today.
