Why I Hate television

I just received a link to this in my e-mail today, and am disgusted by it. Unfortunately, I am in a place where I cannot take sufficient time and utilize energies to address it, not only because I am a guest in another's home and feel incredibly rude sitting on the computer for hours, but also because THIS LAPTOP IS SATAN!!!

Anyone who knows about Matthew Shephard, his tragedy, and give a shite, please go visit the site above, and make your feelings known. My situation sounds like such an excuse, but it's not.

Also, DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE PROTEST ON DECEMBER 2ND!!!


Hope everyone had a good dead-bird day. Mine was mostly good...some tragedy, but mostly good. More on all that some other time.

I happened to catch that 20/20 special last night! Really just stumbled upon it. The skew was to show that it wasn't really a hate crime. However, IMHO it failed and did just the opposite.

I found it interesting to hear what the murderers had to say...and how it conflicted with what they said before. Also, Mathew's mom did a great job of NOT letting the gay bashing aspect of the crime get lost.

The fact that drugs were involved isn't terribly surprising. It's just one more element. Still, it's obvious, if the kid had been straight he wouldn't be dead right now. I don't think that fact was lost even if that's what they were trying to do.
