Issue One Protest Rally

My mother sent the following to me in my e-mail today,

"I want to inform all of you that there will be a protest rally over issue one

Thursday, December 2nd (the day it takes affect)
4-5:30 playhouse square park (the triangle at playhouse square)

the rally will have speakers talking about how it affects them and their families.

hope to see you there."

Yes I will be there.

Anti-gay marrage amendment in ohio.

It is more than an Anti gar marraige ammendment. It bans all civil unions, and domestic partnership agreements, regardless of sexual orientation. It also says the State of Ohio will not acknowledge such agreements from other states or countries.

It also bans smaller communities, like individual cities an organizations, from recognizing those unions. So people from one end of the state are dictating what people can do in their own community on the opposite side of the state.

oh yeah, I'm suprised that was on the ballot already. Good luck to you. So far every state that's had it on the ballot has passed it. I only hope the supreme courts will find it unconstitutional. Or at the very least they are able to have civil unions -LJ
