c/o [livejournal.com profile] ceilede:

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 23.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal...along with these instructions.

"To a world merged in humanitarianisms, in workers' problems, in ethical societies, in social movements, he (Caeiro) brings an absolute contempt for the fate and the life of man, which, if it be thought excessive, is at least natural to him and a magnificent corrective." - Fernando Pessoa

Hrm... Just tried this at work. First book: just pictures on page 23. Second book: just pictures on page 23. Third book: just pictures on page 23.

Architects aren't really big on those 'word' things.

(Actually, that's a bit of a lie. There's a whole shelf of obnoxiously wordy building code books 5 feet from my desk...)

OK, so as much as I am not into working this fine Friday... I wandered off to the reference shelves and pulled down the 2002 Ohio Building Code...

actually, the first two books I picked up were pictures on page 23. The third book only had three lines on page 23.

So, technically, the fourth book, 23rd page, fifth line.
