Quiet Girl

What kind of little girl were YOU?

yeah. pretty dead-on, really. I wasn't always super-quiet, but I had an imaginary friend named Kelly from about 3-7 years old, played by myself a lot, and had an incredibly active imagination.

ok, yeah...sleep is a good idea.

damnit, i took it twice and still got angry child. i wasn't really angry as a kid--just misunderstand and i had to devote my quality time to riding ponies and studying to be a ninja so that i could move to china and have great adventures.

Finally have to break down and ask.. do you have any recordings yet? nothing professional, but surely something that you have recorded for study, practice... anything you would or have released on-line? I have to admit that as I read your journal, I hear my mind imaginings of you singing in the background... but I would love to hear the real thing...

Well, I have some recordings of shtuff I've done with bands on myspace. the url is:

http://www.myspace.com/dawn

As for the classical shtuff, nothing really yet. The closest to it will be when Missile Command releases their CD...the song I did with them, "FTS Beta 9," is very influenced by my classical training.

Wow. Thank you for being so interested!~8)

mmmmm
delicious.
Not exactly as I had imagined.. better.
thanks for sharing.
If you were not so far away, I would probably have a crush ;-p
Instead, I emailed the url to my daughters to check out ( they are at their dad's this week). They will love it. I hear a lot of Dead Can Dance in there, yet with your own twist. Definitely not a copy..
nice to "know" a talented original.
you have an amazing gift.. please let me know when you do a CD. I will be one of the first in line...

*blushes* thank you...I am flattered, on a dozen levels.~8) Any reference to my having my own style is a huge compliment -- it took me a long time (and a lot of courage!) to find that part of me, let alone exhibit it in front of others.

As for the CD, keep your eyes/ ears peeled for Missile Command (http://www.missile-command.net/), a Cleveland band I have worked with recently, and finished recording a song just a month or so ago. It's the newest recording I have, along with "Chaos of Emotion," which I just recorded a few montsh ago with Subliminal Self. It is a bigger showcase, imo, of what I am working toward as a career - a combination of classical influence, more recent influences (Cocteau Twins, DCD, Miranda Sex Garden, Delerium, etc), and incorporating them all for a more modernized and, imo more accessible, trend in bridging the gaps between classical and modern music.

blah blah blah...when it is released, I'll be sure to let ya know! Thanks again...truly.~8)
