In my brainless-mode activities, exploring http://www.epitonic.com, I ran across a 20th century composer named Harold Budd, whose music I am only just listening to, having read that he's done work with Philip Glass, Brian Eno, Zeitgeaist, and The Cocteau Twins, to name a few.
His music is pretty...mellow orchestration, not incredibly complex, but pretty no less. It isn't his music that has caught my attention, however.
Anyone who has read my dreams over the past few years may recall a common space I visit off and on, a warehouse, with a single light and a dirty mattress. Well, the cover for his newest album, "The Room," has about the closest imaginable vision of this space I have ever come across IRL:

Take away the walls on either side...I haven't ever seen the ending to the space, either to my left or to my right. But umm, yeah. Kinda creeped me out a little.
OK, I am done for now.

BTW...sometimes people do an announcement of new friends on LJ, particularly when they kinda introduce that friend to LJ anyway. Would you like me to do that for you? To help introduce ya to some cool peeps on here?
