equations for a calm soul...
Sep. 15th, 2004 01:32 am1 part Zen Laundry Experience
+
1 part no other humans around AT ALL
+
1 part crickets chirping just outside the window
+
1 part cicadas screaming, "but WE'RE the divas!" at the crickets just outside the window
+
1 part reading about how Pythagorus wasn't only the creator of the math that causes me such grief, but also the musictheory rapery that is my bane, and coming to a strange sense of understanding
+
Figuring out how to read chant transcription, and transcribing it into bass clef in what I believe to be a very successful manner
+
Happy-smell clothing, neatly folded and ready to head back to Dawndom
+
Friendly late-night people on the elevator
+
Kind thoughts/ words from friends afar
+
Colors
+
a cat named Shatter
+
a time-travelling rat who peeked out from behind the dryer & told me his name is Princhelton.
he may be lying.
maybe not.
At any rate, he was better company than I'd had in quite some time.
::::::::::::::::::
I wonder if my old imaginary friend, Kelly, was chewed up or merely swallowed whole by that sea-monster back in '81. I don't remember watching to that degree, honestly.

Date: 2004-09-22 09:27 am (UTC)Actually, it wasn't even remotely traumatic. I made the choice to let her get eaten. Kinda like she was a protective shield for me until I was about seven or eight, and then I just didn't need her there anymore...it was a liberating experience, symbolic of personal growth, if you will.
But yeah, even in my letting her get eaten, I don't imagine it was painful for her. I couldn't be THAT cruel!
