Began with a Friday filled with generosity, a new (IRL) friend :::waves at [livejournal.com profile] nomadoh:::, strange and wonderful encounters amok, CMF...further down the road there were oatmeal cookie drinks that replicate acid trips, lotsa drunk people (including yours-truly *shakes head*), dancing to good muzaak a la [livejournal.com profile] dv8productions (thanks for the CD btw...sadly, it's not the one with the L&R's cover tho'...oh well, beggars can't be chosers, right?~;). My tree came out of hiding for the first time since Rome. Yes, she made a grand public appearance, and even got a smooch from a tipsy [livejournal.com profile] nomadoh! ~;) She went home all blushy...it was cute.

Saturday [livejournal.com profile] wraptboy and I played a mean game of volleyball with more than a handful of suburbia in Medina, OH. My friend Cheryl graduated from CSU, and it was at her sister's house. OMF BABIES! Babies EVERYWHERE. I love kids though, so it was fun watching them play together, running around in blinking sandals and silly pink hats. Too friggin' cute. But yeah, the volleyball was out of hand, and I tried knocking my arm off hitting the silly thing and am still kinda hurting over it.

At any rate, [livejournal.com profile] wraptboy and I quickly learned just how small the world is at this party. One guy approached Jay and it turned out they work at East Cleveland AAC together. The guy was Cheryl's cousin or uncle...not sure which, but his brother lives across the street from us in the weird condos behind the Tremont Baths. He invited us over to look at his art collection sometime. We'll see about all that.

Sunday began with Sal's, and it was good. I did some running around, sadly not finding any Vans that fit me (looking for new tennis shoes since Fairuza's invasion the other day~8( ) I bought a pretty blouse for the Missile Command show, came home to [livejournal.com profile] wraptboy an [livejournal.com profile] jjjiii chatting on the porch. We all went to the Hessler Street fair, each of us enjoying different sorts of eye-candy. So many pretty bobbles and people, and many beautiful dogs as well. I saw the cutest Weimereiner (sp?), all silver and happy. [livejournal.com profile] jjjiii was on the prowl for the pugs, as could be expected. He saw the black one, but I also saw a second one, a tan fella. Very cute dogs all about.

The three of us decided to head out to Mongolian BBQ and gorge before the show. I was completely overrun by Food Coma(TM) and the heat of the day though, so when we got home I jumped in the shower and got ready for the show.

I was very excited/ thrilled to see so many people at the show. 20goto10 was such a fabulous surprise to hear, especially their cover of Dio's "Rainbow in the Dark." Their lead singer, Sarah, has a great voice, not to mention a cool light-activated theramin she taunts with a mini-flashlight. Fun indeed.

Missile Command kicked muchas assas, as I expected. People kept talking about how they couldn't believe that it was their first show, and how things were so tight musically. I was blinded by a light when I first got up on stage so i had a minute where there were no microphones, but nothing mattered but the music once the song began.

I must admit, I just wasn't into Travelogue. Nothing about the music or performance stuck with me, not even remotely. Well no, I take it back...the guy was playing with a couple synths and for a moment I had a flashback to a Tori Amos show, and suddenly wished he had a bench to straddle. Alas, he did not.

I really loved Furnace St.'s new shtuff though. Adam sounds ten-times better than he did a year ago, and he sounded really damn good back then anyway! Their music is super-creative though, and Rick (ex Dj Dirty Slurp-E) mentioned the chord progressions to one specific song sounded a lot like the theme song from The Neverending Story...silliness abound!

Held [livejournal.com profile] bindrune's hand crossing Euclid Hts. BLVD, because she will protect me from the lightning ~8) We drove further east (watching amazing lightning, omg) & went to an afterparty at Christine's house, watched a kitten manipulate [livejournal.com profile] ciani into letting him molest her cleavage, ~;) talked about the show over chocolates and tortilla chips, fell in love with an alien above their fireplace, and tried crashing Fairuza on the way home. Definitely need to see about getting her brakes bled. Just. not. right.

That was my weekend, in a nutshell.

Today I am tired, kinda down (hey [livejournal.com profile] zzahn...I am telling you, we could patent this day-after shite! LOL), and sore all over. My day has been a melancholy mixture of sorts, although I did have fun taking pics of [livejournal.com profile] furiouslil while [livejournal.com profile] digitylgoddess and [livejournal.com profile] bindrune took turns on the commentary. 'twas fun, yup yup.

...it is such a night for spooning and talking softly in the dark. Unfortunately, that just won't happen.

Also, I watched The Magdelene Sisters with [livejournal.com profile] wraptboy an [livejournal.com profile] bindrune and well, it kinda left my heart sad. Tomorrow afternoon I shall warm it again with The Triplets of Belleview, however, and all will be right with the world once more!

hey! I have an idea...

If you could spoon & shnuggle with me tonight (all innocent and harmless, of course~;), what would you mumble softly to me as we lay there? Leave anonymous posts if you like...I won't go looking for ya. Promise.~8)

Goodnight everyone. Thanks for an amazing weekend!

99 percent of the time, i'm up for spooning. that movie, however, made me toxic and in need of sniggling with shadow. but if i were there, i'd ask you to play more sigur ros (sp?) and tribble along. i'd also mumble about tiki torches and poison ivy. 8)

Oh, it's all good. Sorry I got caught up on the phone. Gabe wasn't doing so well, bad bad mind-cluttering that kinda collided with my own mind-clutter and well, it was a pretty massive meltdown thereafter. That friggin' movie didn't help me either...

ah well. I got sleep, and was smiling by the end of the conversation, so all was mostly right with the world again. I just need to remember that I cannot fix all things that are broken in those I love, and that my hands & heart are only so useful when there are so many miles between me and the person in pain.

(((HUGZ!)))

love ya, Special K.

Thank you for helping us out. Afterwards, people were saying how they were just transfixed with that song. Many people said it was their favorite.

Considering it usually takes me about a minute to fall asleep, it would probably be something like "mmmmmmmmbuhhh zzzzzzzz".

I'm such a romantic.

It was my pleasure, really. I had so much fun doing that, and that song is such a rush anyway...hugely epic, especially since it's so long. I am glad people liked it though...you guys rocked Sunday!

As for the romance, well, we all know you're in it for the seX0r anyho...~;P

The words would have to be inspired by the moment, so I could not know in advance.

I would probably deeply hum FTS Beta 9 like a reverberating echo trapped in time...then unexpectedly hum the Slinkee song for a giggle or laugh...(humming is so soothing and relaxing at night and the vibrations shared by touch)

Sonno bene, la sirena scura.....

you were wonderful :) And the mike was on stealth mode so it's not surprising you missed it at first! :)

*HUGS*

I would pet you and probably tell you to sleep well and have sweet dreams and then mold myself to your body and close my eyes.

Ah, post gig depression... My old friend. :)

I'm sure some psychologist somewhere has a name for it twice as long ending in "disorder". It's no wonder I dumped it as a major. C'est la vie.
