"Hi! This is Al Green from over at Chemlawn. I was just calling because I wanted to make sure we got out there to fertilize your lawn this year."

"Well Al, that's mighty swell of you!"

"OK now then, we nee..."

I cut him off with, "BUT, ya see? This isn't exactly my home, so the lawn isn't really mine to fertilize. Is there anything else you'd like to fertilize instead?"
