six isn't so bad when someone else is the driver

Alleys smell like turkey
But the doorguy's nose is floating icicles
His loss.
Three levels
I think I see now
Not quite what I had hoped for
but it will do.
I like the space I will be in
tucked-away
lower-level-lounge

Conversations about fears, intoxicants

We had the seats closest to the movie screen
And it came alove with bachellorettes and stumbling patrons
I think the final count was eight
but I only saw six
She was very striking
Enough so to give me dreams I'll never tell
but taunting is always fun.
the bathroom had invisible nipple-warmers
but not made of Australian possum fur
Oh, and lubricating lotion
that goes farther than I gave it credit for.

I said, "Upstairs."
He smiled
and I walked up.
I sit with friends
He invades with beer-stained eyes and teeth
small fish are threatening
but he doesn't know any better
neither did, really.
Alcohol makes me brave
and blunt
He was heartbroken
and I was perfection
a month later
I poked fun at him
and friends watched in save-the-Dawn-Dawn mode
approaching me with games and smarm that I adore so very much
It is nice to know
Peeps got yer back.

and laughed and stumbled
danced with my wool coat
a two-step, maybe three
before leaving the building
and smelling turkey again.
Grumpies we go
but wait! Drive-by shots!
Little blue-haired girls are the best
run run run
Tree Houses aren't much fun when you're an adult at 2:26AM
grr.
But wait! Edison's!
They are the shiznit with fritos
And I yelled, "Jameson's!"
because I have a death-wish
Blue and the monster cringed
noses held
gulp it down
Almost lost at my own game
but I held my own
Poor monsters...
Grumpies
and the real rowdy kicked in
and I was a laughing-crying-silly mess
but all my friends don't care
because everything is funny
and water is a forgivable sin
even if I didn't apologize.
Would have been bad-form, you know.
Best breakfast in the world.

Hugged a fishy goodbye
hoped he had fun
in new water.
Giggles and computer screens
monsters have their soul eaten by an orange beast
while I forget my manners
and my mind wanders to an angel in Pittsburgh.
I spoke with a blossoming tree of strength
about his roots and his love
He had exhilaration
and I spoke too much
being the bad drunk that I am
He said I couldn't have spoken to someone better about the situation
and told me to say what was in my heart
no matter what
because, if you feel it, then it is valid.
It always frightens me to realize when I am not utilizing my own advice, and someone reminds me.
Pressed the "send" button.
The tree joked, with a smile I imagine, "Now the waiting begins."
Saved a monster from her fate
little blue chatted my ear off
until i almost peed on the floor
wash away the make-up
the hair on my teeth
Dawndom was the most cozy place it's ever been
the giggling before sleep helped with that.
Noon is too early
so is ten, 10:30, 11AM
but tutoring and advancement are important in life
Besides
I have a date with coffee after six
A swift kick in the arse wouldn't hurt me, either.
