I was tall and thin, like a cartoon character with long, flowing dresses that blew in wind that was imagined. The dress was pale, almost a powder blue in color. *shivers* I would never really wear that color...blech! My hair was long and black, and I was a mother.
My child wanted a doll, a specific doll that I saw in a window display while in Italy. There was this amazing toy store there (IRL, actually) that had the most beautiful dolls, and even more adorable were the faeiry/ dragon/ wizards, etc. Such precise sculpting of every feature...what I would have given to have been able to buy one of those dolls!
I digress...
I went walking into Piazza Navona, looking for this toy store because I wanted my little girl to have everything she wanted. I found myself walking in circles, searching for the entrance to this store but unable to find it, no matter how I tried. I began to get upset, pouting and sniffling back tears when a mask appeared in mid-air from gray smoke. It was beautiful - sequined, reminiscent of a cat and smirking. I suddenly wanted the mask, and reached for it, but it disappeared. Then another one appeared from another poof of smoke - I reached, it disappeared.
A third mask appeared, a darker one with greens and purples, dark blues around the eyes - it was magnificent! I had almost touched it, it was just within my reach when a dragon appeared from the right, flew straight toward the mask, slipping it over his snout as he flew by. He turned his head left to face me, slowing down to smirk and hiss (kinda...not sure how to describe the sound, really), taunting me as he got away with my mask. As he flapped his wings, a loud bellowing came from beneath them, and I pouted more, yelling after him, "Now THAT wasn't very nice!" as my hair flew back.
Just then, I heard a giggle from my right. I turned to find the source and noticed a small movement from the bottom of a large wooden door. There stood a small pixie, the very same one that now inhabits
bindrune's Asylum IRL. He snickered at my frustration, but then realized he'd been noticed, thus giving away the location of the store. I ran toward the door as he slipped back inside.
When I entered the toy-store, but it was backward from IRL; the second floor was on the first, and the spiral stairway went clockwise instead of counter-clockwise, leading up to the first floor. I walked slowly...it was dim, and the walls sparkled with living eyes and teeth. Just as I was about to go to the stairway, I found the pixie, the dragon and the masks all sitting among the hundreds of stuffed animals along the wall (kind of like E.T. did). I was tired now, and they looked so comfy that I decided to join them.
Just as I sat down, the walls caved in, and I fell backward into a chair, finding myself at
dv8productions' housewarming party (which was the night before IRL). We were having a conversation we'd had at the real party, about art and supplies. He mentioned that he was working on a piece that was a political statement of sorts, and the air about him became very elitist and thick.
I nodded and said," yeah, I need to buy some gel pens."
dv8productions looked at me with absolute disgust and asked, appalled, " What do GEL pens have to do with MY political statement?"
He continued to rant and rave about his statement. I clasped my hands together, twisting them inward toward my body and then back out, as if they were reversed. I seemed much more child-like at this point, my hair back to its usual red, and I tilted my head to my left, looking at the floor and said, "I was just saying..."
When my eyes rose from the floor, the left one was a mixture of green and blue oil paints on water, and the left one began to bulge from my head. I was an asylum escapee (but not from
bindrune's asylum...~;) and my smile was filled with crooked teeth and madness.
BEEP!BEEP!BEEP!
time to get up.
