just a question to everyone:
So you're stuck in some desolate place with zero access to civilization (ie- a deserted island), and one person, whom you don't know at all, is stuck there with you. You have a toothbrush and toothpaste, they do not.
Would you share?
I woulda done a poll, but I haven't gotten to make this account paid again, so leave me some comments, please!
Have a faboolicious day!

Date: 2003-05-27 03:04 pm (UTC)If that is not an option (that is, the rules of the island forbid making toothbrushes), I would selfishly hold on to mine. They can still have the toothpaste though.

:::put the lime in da coconut:::
bad ideal light now on!
Date: 2003-05-28 09:14 am (UTC)But when you rinsed the toothpaste out your mouth into the local water ecology... wouldn’t that fuck with the marine life?
i mean those chemicals are great for fresh breath and all, but if you don't know that person... are you really in a hurry to stick you nose in their mouth?
and wouldn’t those same chemicals harm the local fish and other sea biology?
if your really on some "gotta keep my bad breath in check!" shit, then stick you finger and some water in your mouth and get used to the "local flavor"!
Re: bad ideal light now on!
Date: 2003-06-01 08:49 pm (UTC)Yeah, it'd likely mess with the ecological system too, but hell, we do that every day wwe live in civilization as it is; why kid ourselves otherwise? Have you been to the Rainforest at the Cleveland Zoo recently? There's a little graph that shows what the rainforests will be like in ten, twenty years...just devastating. before we know it, we'll have killed so much of the plant life in the world we won't have the oxygen production necessary for our own survival!
Oh, and
I ♥ you too!!!
*MUAH!*
miss hanging out with ya...LOTS!

Date: 2003-06-02 09:22 am (UTC)yea i've seen that exhibit and it's really haunting!
showing the unchecked progress of foresters was at the least an eye opener.
to this day i'm on some "think globally, act locally" shit!
(It’s the tree huger in me.)
