"Whoever makes of dreaming a life, and of the hothouse culture of his sensations a religion and a politics [sic], for such a one the first step - or what he charges his soul to take as its first step - is to feel trivial things extraordinarily and excessively."

Observe the world of Coto Normal.

It's a band on MySpace who asked to be added to my personal page. I don't generally add bands unless I know them, not to my personal page anyway. Well, they might just change my mind. I love them...

If you'd like to hear more by them, visit their MySpace page: Coto Normal

Many, many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] wraptboy, who was kind enough to send me a lovely letter and photograph of a slinkee that I believe was taken by [livejournal.com profile] riverbank. It's lovely, and shall find its place on my dorm cell wall very soon. ~8)

I hadn't checked my mail all week. Today was a large bonus when I went. Not only did I receive the above, but I also got my copies of Legend and Little Otik, two of my favorite movies ever. Now, if I can just get my hands on the rest of Jan Svankmajer's movies, I'd be a very happy Sireen. ~8)

If I were irresponsible, I'd buy them all now with my tax return.

I am not, however. I need this to live for a while, and somehow new bras and pants have stronger appeal than movies I cannot even enjoy from my current location on this planet. Nevermind that I will likely need some of it to buy books next quarter.

Just under two weeks left of this madness, and then I'll be home for a little over a week. As I told [livejournal.com profile] tiktiktok last night - two weeks cannot go by fast enough. He then said that the one week would not go by slow enough. I hated agreeing with him, but he is so right.

One month, ten days until we run Le Nozze di Figaro. In as much as it's been a pain in the arse, it's going to be an amazing show. Everyone is so talented, and Henry, our stage director, is brilliant with his interpretation and execution of the scenes. ~8)

Time to mozy...Italian lab is screaming at me to get my arse up there and work already!
