thedarksiren2 | A moment of truth...

So, some of you received an e-mail last night from me, right? It's the one discussing plans to help me get to Rome. It is an invite to a party, not a "Come to my house, give us money or DIE!" scandal. Oh no...see, some good friends of mine, namely

wraptboy and

bindrune came up with this idea to help me raise money because, quite honestly, I have none and am working my arse off trying to get to Rome this summer. Unfortunately, the date chosen happened to be the exact same day as the Chew's Eye Shop CD release party. I tried to figure out a way to change the date, but too many people had already been invited by the time I got the message, and how could I be so rude to my two best friends?

So we are keeping the date, and I, with the help of the ever-so-talented-and-extraordinary

android23's timing capabilities (because he is the bestest droid, and knows many more things than most humans do!) *DO* plan on going to the show for a while, and I *DO* plan on supporting someone whom I have always thought of as tremendously talented and cool to know.

And if you don't want to miss the Chew's show, hell, *I* don't want to either. So go go go!!! PLEASE support them...they have been a long-time coming with this new CD, and the show is going to out-do any party we can throw.

The point is this...yes, I need money, but really? It's also and mainly a party. A fundraising party, yes, but in *my* eyes, you don't *HAVE* to bring money to come. I just want to see my friends because I never get to. REGARDLESS of whether you have money, it'd be nice to just know some of you came in support of me because I have worked my entire life to get to this point, and if you haven't heard me sing you have no idea.

Also, if you cannot make it to this party, David K. of Decadent is helping to create a benefit show for me in April. So far we have State of Being, Decadent (of course), a weird li'l band called The Lobster Clause and possibly *crossing my fingers*

stygmameshe's band playing the show. We are still working on the venue and exact date, but I will post about that some other time.

So let's review:

1. If you want to come to the party, please feel welcome to.
2. If you are going to the Chew's Eye Shop show (and I encourage you all to do so for a gazillion reasons!), go to that.
3. If you want to stop by AFTER the Chew's Eye Shop show, please do and say hello. We usually run until 4 or 5A.M. at these things.
4. You don't HAVE to bring anything other than your friendship and support to be welcome at this party!!!
5. If you have any issues with me, bring them to me personally. I have nothing to hide.
6. If you dislike me for any reason, yet have never said anything to me to allow me to understand that feeling, either address me with it, or remove me from your friends list. Then I can grant you the same favor, and all will be right with the world again as we both move on.

The Lobster Clause?! I know those fuckers. Anyways, that is a flurking great idea to raise money to send yo' singin' ass to Rome. I'm selling a few of my video games for this cause! I hppe it turns out well for you!
