Goodnight everyone. I will update about the weekend tomorrow or something. My head is done for now, not to mention I have to unpack some more junk, write a proposal, read, and still try to get enough sleep not to lose my mind tomorrow. Maybe it's good my sleep schedule's all fluckered-up...I'll be awake a while.

Oh, and just FYI...if you get an IM from anyone that seems extremely random and weird - anyone meaning real friends or not - which reads, "Click on this! It's cool!" or something to that effect, don't. It's a virus going around.

Orwell's dark visions in '1984' hit opera stage

LONDON (Reuters) - The creators of a new opera based on the novel "Nineteen Eighty-Four" did not have to work hard to make George Orwell's nightmarish vision of a loveless and brutal world resonate with audiences today.

Technology used for surveillance and control, the denial of personal freedom, Doublethink, Newspeak and a seemingly endless war place a work written in 1948 firmly in the 21st Century.
