Still buzzing from the dream last night...too damn funny!
And today was so productive! I accomplished pretty much everything I needed to accomplish.

Little Otik was such the great li'l flick! too much fun...a few lulls, but all in all, wonderful! Made both me and wraptboy think about making lists...people upon whom the hunger of Otik might be satiated! tee!hee! I think we laughed about this idea for twenty minutes after the movie!

And, sadly, no one else showed up.

I guess some peeps got mixed up, thinkin' it was a tomorrow-gig. Oh well...less distractions. ~8)

On the ride home I decided I should try to be productive and create my study guide for my math exam on Monday. I thought about Oontzing, but then thoght better of it, which was apparently a good thing, considering that it was closed after all this evening. So, I called a few people, and eventually me and the roomie met up with bindrune (well, we picked her up) and then Vito at the Phoenix Coffee House on Pearl. It was nice to be surrounded by people whom I adore so much, and be able to sit quietly without awkwardness or expectations of more. I got my study guide ready for the weekend, talked Pensic and House Dunn Phalin with Vito, as well as his personal life...so much has happened since we last talked. I think he got a li'l itchy though when I asked him about his girl - something tells me he would rather discuss it alone with me. Then again, who knows with him? He's rather illusive at times...mostly face-value, but sometimes he hurts my brain. Must be his Italian blood.

Tomorrow I get to meet up with Kira S. at Tri-C to practice for my recitals. I am just giddy about finally getting my music in! I made five copies, including one for Leah Thomas - she seemed really bummed that her hubby had thrown away their wedding copy. Ahh, wedded bliss and misery! YAY!

Still rather bewildered about Veil calling me the other night at 2AM. I almost never get calls that late anymore unless someone has been hurt or is dying/ dead. He left a message saying something about "collaborating" for his show this weekend. I don't know...less than a day away? Unless it is some song that I am amazingly familiar with, it is not likely that the Phantasy will have my voice this weekend. I have to be at Tri-C on Sunday for my recitals by 1:30PM, so staying up till two AM Saturday night in clove-smoke and the loudness of the venue is probably not a good idea for me. But, we will see what he has to say; I want to give him some pix of Bats too, so either way I want to see the boi.

Talking Pensic with Vito tonight made me remember how much I am going to miss singing medieval music this year. Although I really do not know many *period* songs, but a few 17th century French Madrigals, and even fewer of my own, like the one above, fooled many of the most devout SCAdians last war.

*sigh!*

so, this is what's going on with the Siren this Friday:

Tonight, another last-minute plan!
It seems I will be hostessing the Veil Violent Art benefit! LOL No kidding, this is what he wants me for...funny, how things pop up around me. I am flattered though - Veil is such a sweet guy - bless his heart for being so diligent in trying to get in touch with me, let alone still offering me the opportunity the day of the show! He is totally understanding of my busy life, however, and wonderfully forgiving of me.

I guess i am to hostess the show, introducing bands and such, then something about a slave auction??? LOL He kills me...said he interviewed some dominatrixes for the event, but really thought that it needed a nice smile and friendly voice rather than an abrupt woman gettin' all surly on stage! yet, it's a slave auction...hrmmm???

Anyhow, I guess it starts at 8PM, or that is when I am supposed to show up for the actual show. There is a rehearsal at 5PM, and I will be heading out there shortly as well.

And chores, errands, blah blah blah...life is such the wonderful ride!

Speaking of wonder...even though I got my music in, it's still not the same version I had before. Blows my mind how many different versions of this aria there are. It's only by some notes, simple hairline movements...more a matter of my memorizing those slight fractures in what I already know.

Here's to perseverence!!!
